👩‍🍳 How to Make Maple Garlic Chicken Wings

1. Make the Maple Garlic Sauce

In a pot, combine:

  • Garlic
  • Ginger
  • Soy sauce
  • Dijon mustard
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Maple syrup
  • Pepper & chili flakes

Bring to a simmer and cook for 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Set aside (don’t let it burn!).

2. Prep the Chicken Wings

In a bowl, mix:

  • Flour
  • Baking powder (for crispiness!)
  • Garlic powder
  • Salt, pepper & ground mustard

Toss wings in the mixture until fully coated.

Place on a lined baking sheet with a greased rack for best airflow and crispiness.

3. Bake the Wings

Bake at 400°F for about 40 minutes

  • Flip if needed (rack helps avoid flipping)
  • Cook until golden and crispy

4. Sauce & Finish

  • Toss baked wings in the maple garlic sauce
  • Return to oven for 10 more minutes

This makes them sticky, glossy, and packed with flavor 🍁

🥔 How to Make Loaded Potato Skins

1. Bake the Potatoes

  • Rub potatoes with oil and salt
  • Bake at 400°F for about 1 hour (until tender)

2. Scoop & Prep

  • Let cool slightly
  • Scoop out the center (leave about ¼ inch border)
  • Save the inside for another recipe (don’t waste it!)

3. Add Garlic Butter

Brush skins with:

  • Melted butter
  • Garlic powder

Bake:

  • 10 minutes cut-side down
  • Flip, then 10 minutes cut-side up

4. Load Them Up

Add:

  • Cheese
  • Bacon bits

Bake another 7–10 minutes until melted and crispy

Top with:

  • Green onions
  • Sour cream

🍽️ Serving

Serve your maple garlic chicken wings with loaded potato skins and a fresh side like a Caesar salad.

This is seriously better-than-takeout pub food at home.

💡 Tips for Best Results

  • Baking powder = crispy skin (don’t skip it!)
  • Use a rack so heat circulates evenly
  • Watch when boiling your sauce—it can burn quickly
  • Don’t over-scoop potatoes or they’ll fall apart

🍁 Final Thoughts

This was my first time making honey garlic wings with maple syrup instead of honey, and it definitely won’t be the last. The flavor is richer, deeper, and just perfect—especially during maple syrup season.
